Hi I'm Sarah

I'm 20 years old, I've lived in Arizona for eleven years. I love to paint, dance, and laugh, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into a millitary family in Kansas. We then moved to Korea for five years, and then Alabama for three years, and then here to Arizona where my dad retired. I'm the sixth of seven children. I'm pretty quiet at first, but once I get to know someone I have alot to say. I'm twenty years old and attending a community college. I'm also preparing to serve a LDS mission which I'm really excited about. I love to paint, draw, dance, and hangout with my friends. I also love children and I'm so excited to be a mother some day. I'm also thinking about majoring in elementry education, but I'm still not sure. I love my family, my friends, and my country, I'm proud to be American and I'm proud of our troops serving our country every day. But most of all I love my religion.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church and I've believed it all my life. But when I was about thirteen one of my church leaders encouraged us to study the story of Joseph Smith and the book of mormon and then pray to Heavenly Father and ask if it was true so we could know for ourselves. Well I did, and I seriously questioned whether or not it was true and i got my answer. Now I don't just believe it, I know that this gospel is true. I know that it changes lives for the better. Whenever I have a question I know that I can go to the Lord in prayer and he will always answer, sometimes not in the way we want or expect, but he always will. I know that we are his children and that he loves us and believes in us. I know that Christ lived and died for us so that we may repent and return to our Heavenly Father, and I know that the book of mormon, as well as the bible is the word of God.

How I live my faith

When I was in highschool I loved to go to seminary, and now that I'm going to college I really love to go to institute, they are religion classes for students that teach out of the Bible and Book Of Mormon. Every sunday I teach the nusery children songs for one hour during church, and I have just been called to serve an LDS mission in Salt Lake City, Utah! I will serve for a period of 18 months and I leave on May 29th.Those are some specific things I do, but really I live my religion everyday. Being a mormon isn't just something I do sometimes, it's part of who I am, everything I do is effected by what I believe. In the LDS faith we really try to live what we believe. We of course mess up sometimes because we are not perfect, but we're always trying to be better.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, Mormons are Christians. But don't just take my word for it, in the Book of Mormon in 2 Nephi chapter 25 verse 26 it says "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of sins." and in verse 28 of that same chapter it says "for the right way is to believe in Christ and deny him not" I personally have a strong testimony of Christ, I know that through him we are saved and that he is our example and we should be striving to be like him.
