Hi I'm Patrick

I'm the middle child of nine kids, I work for a rock radio station, I love music and movies, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In my profession I have been exposed to many different entertainers from music legends, to movie stars, to professional athletes, and local media talent, and through these different encounters it gives me humility to appreciate the little things that life has to offer, and that it doesn't matter who you are or what your social standing is, life is about having meaningful relationships, and all the fame and popularity in the world means nothing without people to love and laugh with. I love spending time with my family. Coming from a large family, there never seems to be a dull moment and being the middle child I get pulled in lots of different directions. I'll be teaching my younger siblings how to drive, while helping my older siblings move across the country, I might as well be a professional mover, I have lots of experience. My family is a soccer family, and since there are nine of us, we almost complete a full soccer team, and of course we all have the competitive nature in us, so needless to say, our soccer games can get a bit intense. I love celebrating life with each of them, I consider myself very lucky to be surrounded by an amazing family. My friends are simply an extension of my family. We celebrate all of the goodness that life has to offer, from seeing our favorite bands, taking mini road trips, enjoying Sunday dinners, lazy movie nights, and any opportunity to lift each other's spirits.

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised in the church isn't the reason why I'm a Mormon. I'm Mormon because in my life I have seen and experienced for myself the truth of what I've been taught since I was a small child, I see people all around me that struggle with simple questions about life and basic understanding of who God is. I'm a Mormon, because God has spoken to my heart and I know through prayer and through reading the scriptures that the church is true. I'm a Mormon, because I'm happy when I live what I believe, I have comfort during times of heartache, I have hope for the future, and I feel peace all around me. I'm a Mormon, because through the church I have come to know in my heart that Jesus Christ is my Lord, Redeemer, and Savior of my soul.

How I live my faith

The church is such a big part of who I am, and influences all of my daily decisions. I live my faith by being the best I can each and every day. I attend church on Sundays, and I make great effort to participate in the weekly activities that helps me keep my focus on serving others. I pray often and study the scriptures daily. It's so important to me to have that spiritual nourishment to keep me connected to my Heavenly Father and to my Savior Jesus Christ. I follow the council that is given by our living Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. We live in a very confusing world, and it's such a great blessing to have leaders in the church that understand the challenges and can teach me through the scriptures on how to stay true to the faith. I know when i'm living my faith, I'm happy and hopeful.

In whom should we have faith?

In order to come closer to Heavenly Father and receive all the blessings that He has for you, you must first develop faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Apostle Peter taught that “there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Faith in God is more than a theoretical belief in Him. To have faith in God is to trust Him, to have confidence in Him, and to be willing to act on your belief in Him. It is a principle of action and power. Show more Show less
