Hi I'm Zane

I'm a husband and father of five. I'm a physical therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a beautiful wife whom I met in high school. She is my best friend. I have four kids on earth and one in heaven. They are truly a joy. I have a doctorate in physical therapy and have dual board certifications. Owning my own business is a challenge but has its rewards. I really enjoy mountain biking and learning to play the guitar. Doing things with my family is important so we hike, bike, fish and play together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were active in the church so I have gone to church my whole life. I served a mission in Brazil and learned to love the people and language. When I was eight my primary teacher instilled in me a love for the Book of Mormon. I had a soft covered book and she had this nice dark blue hard covered copy. She promised to give me a copy if like hers if I would read the book. I did. Since then I have always loved the Book of Mormon. As a teenager attending seminary, the teachers encouraged us to pray and gain our own testimony. Again I took their challenge and prayed. I felt so much peace and love that I knew it was true.

How I live my faith

I have been serving in the bishopric for the past six years - until yesterday. I was called as the Bishop. I was comfortable in my other responsibility so now I get to learn something new. Once I get over the shock of the change I will do my best. I think of 1 Corinthians 15:9-10 when Paul expresses his thoughts about his calling as an apostle and by the grace of God he is what he is. I feel much the same way. By the grace of God I am what I am and will serve as diligently as possible especially with the Lord's help.
