Hi I'm Casey

I grew up in a small farming town. I served a mission in Argentina. I'm a husband and father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father of three children. I work as a financial database administrator/developer. I like camping and hiking and I love riding ATV's.

Why I am a Mormon

My religion is what drives me to succeed in life as a husband, father, provider, and in my personal development. I want to be what Heavenly Father wants me to be. Even though I was born into the church I consider myself a convert because I was not interested in the church as a child. As I grew older and began a serious study of the Book of Mormon, I gained a testimony of its truthfulness. This experience also changed my interests and desires. I no longer pursued immature or childish interests and I also desired more spiritual and secular knowledge. I know the Book of Mormon is true and that it was given to the world at this time by God. It has taught me about our Savior, Jesus Christ, and his gospel. I know God listens to and answers our prayers. I know Jesus Christ lives and loves each and every one of us.

How I live my faith

As a member of Christ's church I have served in varying capacities. My favorite responsibility is taking care of children in the church nursery during Sunday meetings. I have also served in leadership roles for the men's and young men's groups, and as Sunday school teacher. I served as a full-time missionary for the church in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a missionary I taught people about Christ, the Book of Mormon and the fulness of the gospel. Today in my daily life I watch for opportunities to share the Book of Mormon with friends and neighbors. I also watch for opportunities to help others in need. For example, while on the road to and from work, or running errands, I often help people by changing flat tires, jump starting cars, or pushing a broken-down car off the road to ease the burnen of the owner. I feel this is one way I can follow Jesus Christ's charitable example.
