Hi I'm Jess

I'm the wife of a sailor in the US Navy, mommy to the cutest little boy in the world and a artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married for almost 3 years to the love of my life, Nathan, who is serving in the U.S. Navy. We have a 1 year old son, Tucker, who is the joy of our existence! He is an absolute sweetheart who keeps his mommy and daddy on their toes. I'm also an artist. I have a bachelor's degree in art from BYU-Idaho and my chosen media is watercolor but I also work in oil, pastel, pencil and photography. I love working to create beautiful things! Together my husband and I love cooking, watching movies, exploring with Tucker and visiting museums and art galleries....we love anything we can do together as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up with a love of the Gospel because of my parents who exemplify living a Christlike life. I read the Book of Mormon for the first time when I was 15 and when I finished it, I knelt down and prayed to feel a confirmation of its truthfulness and as soon as I finished my prayer, I felt the most calm, assurance that the Book of Mormon is true. I have felt this same peace and confirmation throughout my life at my baptism, when I was sealed to my family, my wedding day and the day my son was born. I have felt the spirit during many difficult trials when I needed that peace and assurance that my Savior does indeed know me and that He loves me. I believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is where I belong.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best wife and mother I can be. Our son is very young but we want to teach him the beliefs and values that we value so much. My husband and I try our best to share our testimony through our examples with our friends and with those we meet through church and the military. My husband teaches the youth in our ward and I am on a committee to plan activities for the women in our ward. We both love having the opportunity to serve and share our testimonies with those around us.
