Hi I'm Michayla

I'm a wife, a student, a nurse tech, a hiker, a convert, and I'm happily a Mormon.

About Me

I attended many churches growing up with my mom and while a lot of them had good things to say about Christ it was difficult connecting to them (their structure didn't seem to match what I pictured Christ to represent). Later I realized it was the Spirit, that feel good nourishment, which was missing. This great gift I found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a huge influence on my decision to get baptized (best decision!). My life has been full of joy and non-secular blessings ever since.

Why I am a Mormon

I had a very moving experience that involved feeling the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost let me know that the missionaries sitting in my living room were teaching true doctrine. There are hardly words to describe how "out of this world" the feeling was, but I knew without a doubt that it meant this is Christ's church. I have never been happier and am so grateful for the knowledge I have now, the closeness I feel to God and His people, and the joy I feel every day knowing I am becoming more like Christ with the way I live my faith. This is the fulness of the gospel and it has changed my life so much so that my friends and family have noticed it. They aren't members, yet, but I keep praying for them; there are so many blessings that the Lord has set in store for us, all we need to do is listen when opportunity (or the missionaries) knocks. I'm really happy I did.

How I live my faith

I love reading and learning about Christ and in doing so I also learn about God, our Father in Heaven. I go to church every Sunday to do this and help lift others' spirits. Helping through service, whether it's volunteering or being there for a friend is what it's really about. The big picture is becoming more like Christ.
