Hi I'm Kim

I am a wife, a college graduate, a world traveler and...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Originally from a small town in Arizona, I moved to the big city to attend Arizona State University where I received my degree in Exercise, Wellness and Nutrition. I enjoy exercising and eating healthy (with the occasional indulgence). I enjoy attending musicals, ballets and concerts. I love to read. I enjoy being outdoors doing something active: hiking, camping, fishing, etc. I enjoy playing basketball, volleyball, softball and tennis. I enjoy decorating my home and making it a comfortable place to be. My favorite holiday is the 4th of July: family, food and fun!! I am the oldest of three girls and I love my sisters like crazy! I come from a single-parent family and as far as I'm concerned, my mom is Superwoman! In 2008 I married the man of my dreams in the Mesa Arizona Temple. He is truly my best friend and we love doing everything together. Both being travelers at heart, we just returned from an eight month sabbatical doing volunteer work abroad. We visited Italy, France, Austria, Czech Republic, Argentina, Chile and Peru. So many AMAZING people, places and experiences! I can hardly wait for our next adventure :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace, hope and direction that the gospel offers me. Having an eternal perspective greatly strengthens me in times of trial. I am a Mormon because of the promised blessings of eternal families. I am a Mormon because I know in my heart that this gospel is true and this is where my Heavenly Fathers wants me to be. I feel the spirit witnessing to me the trulfulness of the gospel everytime I attend the temple, read my scriptures, pray or hear the prophet speak. I am a Mormon because the gospel is the greatest source of peace and happiness in this life. The gospel grants me understanding and perspective. When life is hard and it feels as though I am being tossed about like a ship upon the churning seas, my Savior Jesus Christ is my anchor and I have come to know Him through His gospel. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it is TRUE and because it strengthens my relationship with my Savior. How grateful I am to have Him in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving my husband and others the best that I can. I live my faith by trying to share the blessings of the gospel with others and by looking for opportunities to serve my fellow men. I try to see every person as a son or daughter of God. I live my faith by reading my scriptures, saying my prayers and attending my church meetings. I live my faith by serving in my church callings and loving the young women I serve with. I strive to be dependable and obedient so I may be an instrument in the Lord's hand. I strive to know the mind and will of God in those things he wants me to do better. I seek for His guidance and the inspiration that comes through the Holy Ghost. I strive to stand a little taller and do a little better each and every day. I live my faith by not giving up and holding fast to love, hope and faith.
