Hi I'm Mary Levesque

I grew up in Seattle WA. I joined the LDS church when I was 16 years old. I am married and the mother of six kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Stay-at-Home mom to six kids. I have two teenagers, three elementary school age kids, and one in preschool. I am pretty busy cooking, cleaning, washing clothes, and helping kids with their homework and school projects. I love to volunteer at my kids school. When my kids are all in school full-time, I plan to finish my college education. My goal before I became a mom was to become an elementary school teacher. At the rate I am going, my two oldest will be finished with college before me. But I love being home with them, and wouldn't trade it for the world.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger, my family had some pretty big problems. I wanted to find a way to have a successful and happy family when I grew up. When I was sixteen, I questioned why I couldn't find any decent guys to date. I wanted to find a guy who didn't party or pressure me. My amazing LDS friend told me about the standards her church taught and how the young men at church were different from the other guys at school. She invited me to come to church and see. When I came to church for the first time I recognized a bunch of kids from school and knew them to be of good moral character. I wanted to know more. I met the missionaries and was taught about the LDS church, I learned about how much I am loved by my Father in Heaven and so much more. I wanted to know everything about the church before I was baptized, and learned that you can never really "know it all". I was baptized a few months later, and have loved being a member ever since. I am so grateful for my membership in the church, it has changed my life for the better in so many ways.

How I live my faith

I am currently a teacher to a class of Primary children ages 10-11 on Sundays. We are learning about the New Testament this year. I am also the leader of a group of girls from church ages 8-11. We meet together twice a month to learn the gospel, develop our talents, and provide service. I also live the gospel at home with my family. We study the scriptures together and pray together as a family. Our family spends Monday nights together learning the gospel, having a fun activity and a treat. I also serve in the community with our school's PTA (Parent Teacher Association)
