Hi I'm Jon!

I'm a Registered Nurse. I'm a Step Father to two awesome boys, and Father to an incredible boy. I'm and outdoor enthusiast.

About Me

I'm an RN at the local hospital, and LOVE my job. I have the opportunity to help people get well every day. I love being a Father, and a step Father. My boys are awesome. I have a great love for the outdoors, and try to spend as much time there as possible. I am also a beginner photographer, and have found a new way to see the world. I love to listen to music, everything from Amadeus to ZZtop. I was born in Idaho, but my family moved around a lot. I say that I "grew up" near Chicago.

Why I am a Mormon

I would have to say that I'm a typical member of the Church. I was born in the church, and have one brother, and two sisters, and we all have been taught about the church our whole lives. I had the typical teenage rebellion stage, and was able to find my own testimony when I was 19. I was able to decide for my self that the things that my parents taught me were in fact the things in life that I wanted. I then did the hardest thing I have ever done; I decided to serve a mission. I was not the best missionary, I was unsure of myself, and of my testimony. However, after two years, I was able to find the foundation that I was looking for. Why am I a Mormon, because I was able to find the peace, and the reassurance that God is there, and that he loves me.

How I live my faith

I believe that all men are children of God, and that He loves them, regardless of their circumstances. I have the opportunity to give help to people in need everyday at my job. I feel that the service that I give to others is one way that I can show love to my fellow men. I don't claim to be the best person, but I believe that I try to be. I try to be the kind of person that you would want to take home to meet your mother. I love being around people that are fun, and like to have a good time. I also like to get away from the madness of life. One thing makes me feel closer to God, is the quiet and solitude of the Mountains. I enjoy spending time with my family, even if it is at a baseball game.
