Hi I'm Kristi

I'm a mother of 2, piano teacher, a NICU nurse, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well...I wanted to be able to really help people, so I chose Nursing as a my profession. I graduated with my ASN and BSN degree from BYU-Idaho and have worked on a general pediatric floor initially, but am now heading into 4 hours of being a NICU nurse. I did a couple of travel nursing assignments, one of which was in Santa Barbara, California. I enjoy helping people in all walks of life and cherish the memories of working in a nursing home as a nursing assisitant. I loved those people so much that I cried my last day of work at the facility. I met my wonderful husband in college and we started a family. We are experiencing the joy and challenges that come with raising a family, and we have been so blessed to have 2 sweet children. I love music, and really enjoy singing and playing the piano. I have really enjoyed teaching piano, so I have recently picked up more students. In my spare time--I love being with my kids and family and enjoy reading books and watching movies.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 6 yrs-old, my parents divorced. My testimony of the Church was able to grow and blossom as I watched my mother put her faith and trust in God despite our difficult circumstances. She re-married someone not of our faith, who I now consider my father, and was such a wonderful example and parent that I began to look at other faiths in my youth. I found so many wonderful people of other faiths and was touched by other peoples' beliefs. My parents allowed me to choose for myself, and I found myself studying the scriptures and praying, and experienced the sweet assurance and testimony that comes from the Holy Ghost that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is indeed the true church restored to the Earth. I feel as if I can truly drink from the fountain of living waters and have found great peace in my life.

How I live my faith

I go to work, just like a normal person, and try to live how Christ would want me to live. I'm not perfect--I can always find room for improvement. I feel like being a nurse helps me be able to serve others in the community and since our kids are so little, I spend pretty much the rest of my time at home with them.
