Hi I'm Kristen

I've lived in Arizona all my life. I'm a wife, a mom, a daughter, sister and friend, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kristen. I have lived in Arizona all of my life, and never want to move away, depite the heat! The amazing winters make the grueling summers worth it! I grew up as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a wife of five years to a wonderful husband who works hard to provide for our family. I am so grateful for that, because I get to be a stay at home mom! I have two amazing little girls who are my whole world! I love being a mother and watching them learn and grow! In my free time (which is very ittle) I LOVE to craft! I love finding new projects to do, and have a whole list of crafts I will get to someday! I love to spend time with friends and extended family. I feel very lucky to live close to both my family and my husbnd's family, creating lots of opportunities to see the whole family! Some of my favorite things are Christmas, winter, movies, root beer, volleyball and music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents, who were born to parents, who were born to parents in the church! My family goes back a few generations in the church and I am so gateful for that. I have wonderful parents who always did their best to teach me and all four of my siblings the gospel. My parents are the greatest examples, as they always do their best to follow the gospel and do all the things that they should. There has never been a time in my life that I ever doubted the church was true, but of course I did have to gain my own testimony as I grew up. I LOVE the gospel. I think the church is so amazing, in that it makes you instantly feel like a part of a great big wonderful family. I love the fellowship you feel within a ward, the service you see members of the church offering to others, in and out of the church. I love all of the programs the church offers for the different age groups of it's members. I love knowing that we have a living prophet on the earth today and that we are able to recieve guidance through him. I think my most favorite thing about the gospel is that I KNOW that my family and I can be together throughout eternity if we choose to live worthily. My family is the most important thing in the world to me and I love knowing that I get to keep them forever! I just love the gospel all around and I am so grateful to be a member of the church.

How I live my faith

I love being active in the church! I have the opportunity to serve by participating in a bi-monthly activity with the 8-11 year old girls in my ward. We do all kinds of different things, learning how to do new things, acting out skits, we even did a kickboxing class last week! I love these girls and it is so fun getting to know them as they are getting to the age where they are starting to develop their own testimonies. I love that the church offers so many opportunities to serve in so many different ways. I have had the chance to serve as a teacher for the youngest members of our ward (18 months-3 years old) for a while, be on acitivity planning comittees, and some other fun things. While I love this part of my life as a member of the church, I believe that the most important part of "living my faith" is in the home. I have two beautiful daughters who I love so much that I want to do all that I can to teach them the gospel and how they can live a righteous life. I know that raising my children in the gospel is absolutely the most important thing that I should be doing right now, and there is nothing that matters more to me than teaching them, so that our family can be together throughout eternity.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely! The official name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There have always been those who think that "Mormons" are not Christians. I believe in Christ with everything that I have! I am so grateful for His atonement and the opportunity that it gives us to repent of our sins and become a little bit better everyday.
