Hi I'm Jennie

I'm a Mom, Artist, CEO, Real Estate Agent, Pharmacy Technician, Violinist, Writer, genealogist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 2 miracle babies, one by modern medicine and the other by modern surgical skills. I love to paint portraits in oil, I have played the violin since I was 5 and love it. I am a Pharmacy Technician, Real Estate Agent, CEO of Capture your classic Beauti. Both a photography company and skin care. I love life and I feel it so important to be able to teach my children at home the skills they will need to succeed in school. My children are young and are learning sign language, Spanish, and English. We love to read and we love to play with other children. I love to work from home where I get to watch my babies grow.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I have seen what not living in the gospel can do to a family. When I had money to throw away and didn't care about what others thought, I made bad choices. I met my wonderful husband during the time that I was not active in the church and it took a while for us to figure out what was important. We partied, traveled and thought we were having fun. It does not compare to the wonderful things that have happened since our conversion. I had always been a member but not until one Christmas when a major event was happining in my family life did I really know and realize that I wanted to be Mormon I wanted to make my testimony grow. It was a simple gesture at Christmas time and it forever changed my life and that of my family. Because of gospel I know have 2 wonderful children and a husband who will be my family through eternity. Nothing could be more sweet and more wonderful than to have that knowledge. After almost losing my husband to a heart attack at a very young age, followed by a 6 way bypass. Then having his conversion come later that year. I knew that at this time I would never again stray. The only thing that has brought me through the terrible tough times since his heart attack has been the gospel. For me when I am feeling the worst or just don't want to be active I know it is Satan working against me and I turn to the lord. He is an amazing guide and without him I could only imagine the poor existence I would have.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and try to attend all my activities with the women of the church. I also have a wonderful calling as the Family History Consultant. This to me is the most amazing calling I have ever had. It helps me to learn how to find family and connect with others. I get to help others find the missing links in their families and reconnect families together. I can only tell you how fulfilling it is to find a missing person and have a line of geneology and see that I'm related to Spanish Royalty or that my husbands brother fought on the losing side of the revolution. To find letters and pictures of these amazing people. It is also very humbling to know that my trials are small in comparison to some that those have gone before have endured. It gives me so much strength to continue on. I have worked with the children in our church the 2 and 3 year olds as well as the 7 and 8 year olds and it creates a special bond and caring as you watch them grow and see how they develop there own personalities and testimonies. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is amazing and a truly high standard of living. But the blessing that come from it are worth every hardship and decision that I make. I have made the most wonderful friendships and always have someone to turn to if I need help. It is also so amazing that I have friends and women from church that just know when you need help and show up and are willing to do anything for you.l I love being a Mormon!

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Jennie
We speak about the word of wisdom in the blessing that you get from not smoking, drinking alcohol or taking illegal drugs. All these things harm your body and can cause damage that you can prevent. Our bodies are so important and to lead a healthy happy life we follow the word of wisdom. It doesn't necessarily mean we won't get sick but why not give us every benefit there is to stay healthy. My family has a personal experience with this as my husband was not LDS (mormon) when we met and as he triumphed over smoking with heavenly fathers help He has become healthier. He can breath and he doesn't stink all the time. (smokers do retain a smell after smoking) He never believed that was true until he quit. I've talked with him in depth and all though he at times misses his friends he doesn't miss the stumbling, or the cleanup and blackouts that would take place. We are a much happier family without Tobacco, Alcohol, Coffee or Tea and Illegal drugs in our lives. These items cause addictions and addictions are bad for your body. Show more Show less
