Hi I'm Rachael

I'm an artist, mother, and wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 3. My husband and I have been married for almost 12 years, and I love his quirkiness and sense of humor. We love to watch movies together, hang out with our friends, and go bowling (that's how we met). With our kids, we love to play extreme games of Jenga-for 7 and 3, they are pretty good at it. I am also an artist, photographer, and website designer.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but just growing up in the church doesn't mean you just stay forever. That is a choice that everyone needs to make for themselves. I am a Mormon because I believe in strong values, and want to raise my children to be moral and have integrity. I believe in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I have a testimony that has developed over time and gets stronger and stronger. I see the hand of the Lord in my life every single day, and despite the hardships that my family is put through, He is always there for me. We have had to put complete faith in Him this past year, and without the strength and guidance of the gospel in my life, I would not know where to turn. That guidance and constant in my life helps me to weather the turbulence and uncertainty in the world .

How I live my faith

I have served in a lot of capacities within the church, especially in teaching the youth. Right now, I am in charge of teaching girls 8-11 a few times a month. I really enjoy working with the youth, especially the girls, because it gives me an insight into my own little girls and how they will think and feel at that age. I also help out with photography within the church. I am able to use my talents to help get to know people and provide a good service at activities.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Rachael
We believe that families are central to God's plan. We not only believe that families exist on earth, but we believe that families can exist beyond that. This is such a comforting thought, as we have a chance to live with our loved ones again. It is important to love and nurture our children and our families because we believe that all of us are God's children and we are entrusted with children that we are in charge of nurturing and teaching so that they can progress through life.
