Hi I'm JKing

I'm a career woman, a wife, a mother, and a world traveler. I don't go anywhere without my iPod. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a city girl and I love my daily bus ride to the office. It's the one time each day where I can read a book and listen to my music, guilt free! In the eleven years we've been married my husband and I have built two houses. This meant hammering nails and installing plumbing every night after work and every Saturday. Well, except for the days when we've been traveling with our two small children. Both kids have a passport full of stamps. We also like to camp, hike, snowshoe, and are looking forward to the day when our kids learn how to ride bikes. There is rarely a time when I don't have music playing in the background. (The louder the better!) And it's rare to not see a book on my bedside table. I love eating tacos and I hate taking baths.

Why I am a Mormon

I am astounded everyday at how blessed I have been in my life. I don't considered myself anything extraordinary so I know that it's not because of me. I know my blessings truly come from my Father in Heaven. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints is how I show my love and appreciation to my Savior.

How I live my faith

Even before I became a mother, I enjoyed working with the young children at church. Hearing these little kids sing songs of praise and show love towards each other is another way the Lord blesses me. I've recently worked with the teenage girls in my congregation. While there aren't that many of them, the ones we have are super awesome. I only hope I have been as much of an example to them as they have been to me. I strive to live my faith by being a good person to those around me inside and outside the church. I want my family, friends and coworkers to know I have integrity and virtue. And "If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, I seek after these things."
