Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outdoors and active. I enjoy hiking, swimming and playing tennis. I also enjoy doing crafts and making decorations for my home. I have been happily married for 13 years and am the proud mother of 3 girls. An eternal Marriage and family were always in my life plans. But being a stay at home mom was not necessarily in my plans, I had a great job, that I had never really thought about leaving. Not until I was nearing the end of my pregnancy term with my first child. It was then that I realized that if I was monetarily able to stay home with this child then I needed to be the one to raise, protect and guide her through this life the best that I could. I understand that many family situations do not allow for one parent to stay home, fortunately my husband had a job that provided well enough (if we did some cutting back), that I would be able to be a stay at home. Being a stay at home mom is not an easy job by any means. In fact I joke a lot about how it’s the hardest job I’ve ever had, but don’t get paid for it. But I would have it no other way!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the comfort and strength that I feel from the Lord Jesus Christ on a daily basis.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is more that just a Sunday thing. I try to live my faith by being an example in what I do, and in what I say. I try to be honest with everyone I deal with. I try my best to take care of this one body that I’ve been given. I do not smoke, drink alcohol or tea or take anything that could potentially be harmful to my body. I exercise regularly and eat healthy foods. In addition to having daily personal prayer and scripture study, we do these things together as a family. We have one night a week we call "family home evening" that we have a lesson on a different spiritually building topic. We have daily discussions about what we did that day to “fill someone’s bucket”. In Matthew 25:37-40 it says: “…Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Each year we set a family theme. This year our theme is “I love to see the temple, I’m going there someday”. We have various lessons on this theme and discuss it throughout the year. Each of my daughters have chosen a picture of their favorite temple to have hanging in their rooms as a reminder that they do indeed want to go to the temple one day. In the temple we can be sealed to our family, not only for our time here on the earth, but for all eternity. My family is one that I want to be with throughout all eternity, so I better do my best so that I can be with them forever.
