Hi I'm Ruth and I'm a Mormon

I'm a native Texan. I enjoy reading and spending time with my family.

About Me

Hi, I'm a native Texan, I love politics, I'm a teacher and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

Mormonism is the faith of my fathers. Although my faith is inherited from a long line of ancestors it is more meaningful to me than a simple family tradition. It is the faith that I strive to live by every day. It provides guidance and meaning to my life. My beliefs bring a sense of peace when all around me there is strife.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by serving my community. I have spent more than 20 years teaching high school seniors the importance of civic participation. I am active in the political process in my community and my nation. I try to encourage others to participate as well because, I believe, like Edmund Burke that, "the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." I hope that my service can make a difference in the lives of others and help prevent the triumph of evil.
