Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mommy to two cute little ones and wife of an adorable, loving man! My life is full of happiness, love and joy with my family! Some of my favorite hobbies and talents are: running competitive races, singing, getting crafty, swimming, kayaking, hiking, decorating my home, and winning games of Candyland with my little girl. I also love to try new adventures at least once. I live a very active lifestyle, but most of all, I live and love the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up LDS; however, through my own personal conversion I made the decision to bring the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to my family. I knew at a young age that I wanted to have firm values and a love of the gospel in the family I am now raising today. Since I was so young when I knew of my conversion to the gospel, I always knew I would serve as a missionary of the Mormon church. I served a wonderful mission at the age of 21 years and I learned so much about my conversion, the scriptures and how to share my faith with those around me. I will always reflect on the many wonderful spiritual experiences I had as a missionary, and those keep me grounded today as I raise my own family and go through the many obstacles in life! I was blessed to marry a wonderful man, who felt these same convictions, and brought our children into our home to teach, love and learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know Christ's church has been restored through Joseph Smith; our first latter day prophet; and we have had prophets ever since. I also know President Monson is our current prophet today, and has been given the same authority to direct God's children, just as Moses and others in the Holy Bible. My testimony of the scriptures grows each day, and I love to share my testimony to others whenever the spirit guides.

How I live my faith

I take each day a little at a time. This helps me keep my eternal perspective which is to live with my husband, and children and be a forever family! We do our very best as a family to have family home evenings, study and ponder the scriptures, and pray to our Heavenly Father. Personally, I pray daily, and try to listen to the Holy Spirit guide me in the path Heavenly Father wants us me to follow. I put my trust in Him, and know that He has my best interest no matter the obstacle that comes mine or our little families way! I love Him and I know He loves me and it's a wonderful wonderful thing to have that knowledge. I love to serve in whatever calling I am asked to do, and I am grateful to help others as much as I possibly can. I truly forget my own worries when I am blessing others lives. It brings me peace. It brings me complete joy!

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Ashley
This question means a lot to me and my family as we have started to raise our own children and likewise have our own parents and siblings who are dear to us in this life. The answer is definitely yes! Our marriage relationships can last forever, and yes we believe that our families will be together forever in heaven, so long as we follow Christ's example and try to be like Him here on earth. As we strive to live his gospel throughout our lives, our families can be sealed for time and all eternity in His holy temples! I am so grateful for this knowledge as I have been witness to many family members around me who have left this life on earth, and it gives me great peace to know Heavenly Fathers plan of happiness.
