Hi I'm Heidi

I'm a Woman, I am a reader, I have severe dyslexia, I am a mom and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 8 years and during those 8 years my husband graduated from college, we bought out first house and I have three wonderful, crazy little people running around my house 24 hours a day. I am a mom of three beautiful and crazy children a 5 year old who is a little two smart, a 2 1\2 year old who never stops talking and a 10 month old who still isn't sleeping though the night. I hope to sleep again one day. 4 years ago I made a decision that changed my life forever I decided to become a stay-at-home mom. It wasn't something I had ever planned on doing in my life and I loved my job and I hoped to go farther in my career choice. My husband told me it was my choice to stay at home or keep working full time. After one year my choice became clear I decided to stay home and I have never looked back. My life has been blessed every since I made that wonderful decision. Although I could use a little more sleep though.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon in a small town in the Midwest. I was 20 years old in college when I decided to find out if the Mormon church was true and though lots prayer, struggle and reading the scriptures. I discovered for myself the church was true. I love how the church centers around the family. My husband being a good man is involved in every aspect of the kids lives and he is there for their major mild stone in life and the everyday. He give up a career he desired so that he could be home every night at 6:30pm for dinner, baths, scripture read, books and bed. I am Mormon because it was something I chose to become and I believe I would not nearly be as happy and peace with my major and mild decisions in my life with out the Mormon church.

How I live my faith

My family attends three hours of church every Sunday. Which is not easy with a 5, 2\12 and 10 month old kids who never stop moving but it is worth ever minute. My husband and I team teach 14-15 year old Sunday school class and love every second. I never desired to be a teacher because I really do not have a lot of patience but this calling as giving me the opportunity to teach and find strength I never knew I had. I live my faith though service when it is needed and I love having the opportunity to help other whether it is bring a meal to a family with a new baby or babysitting for a mom who needs a break. Every week I am given the opportunity to give service even though my cooking is not the best. I live my faith to the best of my ability every week because not only am I an example to my children but I am an example to all who know me.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Heidi
Husbands and Wife are equal partnership. No one is above the other. Yes I am a stay at home home and I truly believe a mother should stay at home if they have the opportunity. Being home my children know I am there for them at all hours of the day and they are safe. I loving being the one they go to when they are hurt or excited about something. I am their example of how to follow and live their lives every day. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Heidi
Having family members who I love die. The Mormon church has the prescriptive of eternal life that we may return to our heavenly father and see our loved ones again. It helps me to try and live my life to the best of my ability so that I might one day be in Gods presence with my husband and all of my children. Knowing this give me peace and knowing if something happened to my family we are together for ever. Show more Show less
