Hi I'm Alison

I'm a cake decorator. I love the color orange. I'm a musician. I'm a home-schooler. I'm crafty. I'm an actress. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi. I'm Alison. I'm a senior in high school and I'm home schooled. I play the piano and sing. I started decorating cakes 2 years ago and so far have made my first wedding cake and a HUGE cake for a musical's cast party. I taught myself how to decorate by going online and searching for different cake things that I was interested in... like making fondant, painting fondant, etc. I also like to watch cake and cupcake shows to get new ideas. My favorite part about decorating cakes is when people eat it and exclaim, "It tastes as good as it looks!" I also love to act. When I get up on stage I get a giant adrenaline rush. That's all you really need to know about me. THE END

Why I am a Mormon

I've been in the church my whole life. Now, most people would say that it's because of my parents that I'm in the church. That I have been raised in the church and I'll stay that way because thats all I know. That is not the reason at all. When I was younger I listened to my parents like most kids. I went to church and did what my parents said. I was baptized when I was eight and I was still supported by both of my parents testimonies. As I've grow older though, I have grown to have a testimony of my own. I believe that Jesus Christ lived and died for us. I believe that we have a prophet who speaks to God and gives us his guidance. I believe that I will be with my family for all eternity. If you are questioning about the church prayer can be an amazing thing.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to seminary (an early morning church study class). Seminary is the highlight of my day. It gives me that great spiritual lift that I need everyday. I also live my faith by serving others. Whether its babysitting for free or playing the piano for the elderly, I always feel great after serving. I live my faith by following the instructions in the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet. By keeping myself clean, dressing modestly, and making good choices I can feel the Holy Ghost with me at all times. Living my faith can be difficult at times. But, in the end I know it will all be worth it.
