Hi I'm Susannah

I'm an ex-kindergarten teacher. I am a stay at home mom and wife of a law student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After college I started teaching Kindergarten. I loved it! Seeing the excitement on the kids faces when they learned something for the first time or rode the bus for the first time was priceless. I met my husband while I was teaching school. He was also a teacher. While we were dating, he decided that he wanted to go back to school. He packed up and moved across the country. I followed a year later. We were married and are now living the college life again! I found a job teaching preschool and I loved it. After being married for a year and a half, we welcomed a beautiful and spunky little girl to our family. I know get the opportunity to be a full time stay at home mom and I LOVE it! Along with being a mom, I love baking, photography, camping and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a mormon all of my life. My parents taught me well and always set a good example. I was baptized at the age of 8. There comes a point where you have to know for yourself, though. I can't say that came suddenly. I came to know the truthfulness of what my parents and teachers are church were teaching me as I put into practice what they taught. I read and studied my scriptures diligently. I prayed to my Heavenly Father to know that these things were true. The happiness and peace that I felt helped my testimony to grow. I have continued to do all that I can to come to know my Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ. As I have done so, I have felt their love for me. As my prayers are answered, as I see daily tender mercies in my life, as my heart burns as I hear the prophet of God bear witness of Jesus Christ, I know it's true! I know that God knows who I am and what I need. I know that He loves me and that I am one of His daughters. I have come to know for myself that Jesus Christ lives and loves me.

How I live my faith

I attend church each week as well occasional activities and meetings during the week. I have the opportunity to plan service and training events for the women in our area. I also get to visit a few of the women in my church. I have loved getting the opportunity to meet new people and learn from them. I attend the temple as often as I can. I read my scriptures and pray daily, by myself as well as with my family. I also love listening to General Conference, where we get to listen to the prophet and apostles speak.
