Hi I'm Cynthia

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a music teacher who loves to work with students and share the joy of music with others. I teach High School Choir. I also teach piano and voice lessons and I enjoy playing the piano and singing as well as many band instruments. Music is my passion and it is a great way to express emotion. I also love spending time with my family. I have 15 brothers and sisters and there is never a dull moment when our family is together. I have 14 nieces and nephews and they are the cutest kids in the world. I enjoy serving others and helping people with whatever I can. I enjoy reading and going camping. I love to be in the outdoors. Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies and when I find the time I enjoy making quilts and crocheting afgans.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and rasied a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am so thankful for this blessing. I have a pioneer heritage and I am so thankful for my ancestors who sacrificed so much for me to be a part of this wonderful church. I have a firm belief in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. When I was a little girl I came to know for myself that the church was true. I remember sitting in primary and singing the songs and feeling a warm feeling come over me. I knew when I sang the song "I Am a Child of God" that the message was true. I have always believed that my Heavenly Father knows me and He loves me. When I was a teenager I gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon and the truthfulness of how the Book of Mormon can change my life. I was helping the missionaries teach a girl about the gospel and as they taught her about Jesus Christ I felt the spirit so strong and I was able to bear my testimony to this girl about how I knew the church was true. I know my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ know and love me. They sent the restored gospel to the earth through a modern day prophet Joseph Smith, and they continue to lead and guide the church through Thomas S. Monson, our living prophet today. I know the Book of Mormon to be true, and I believe the Bible and Doctrine and Covenants to be scripture that go hand in hand with the teachings found in the Book of Mormon. I believe in my Savior, Jesus Christ and I know He came to the earth and atoned for me and has set for the plan of salvation that I may return and live with Him again. I am thankful for the Temples and the teachings and blessings promised through temple ordinances. I know that families can be united for eternity and I am so thankful for the knowledge that family relationships will continue beyond this life if we live faithful. I know the Church of Jesus Christ is the true church on the earth and I am so thankful and blessed to be a member of it.

How I live my faith

I love being involved in the LDS church. I serve as a teacher for the youth Sunday School. I love to attend the temple and do the work that needs to be done there.
