Why I am a Mormon

I was born to be a Mormon. ;0) All joking aside...My parents are converts to the church. They were Lutheran before they became a Mormon. My mom and dad's best friends are Mormon. They introduced them to the Mormon Church. A few months after taking the missionary discussions my parents and my older siblings were baptized. I was born 3 years after my parents were baptized. I am a Mormon because of it's true teachings, and I feel the love of our Savior Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I have found through my own personal prayers to our loving Heavenly Father that this church is true. I love the fact that there is a living Prophet on the earth. I read the Book of Mormon when I was 16 years old. I prayed and got confirmation for myself through the Spirit that the Book of Mormon is true. I read the Holy Bible in my early 20's. I also prayed and got confirmation through the spirit that the Holy Bible is true. While visiting Israel, recently, I was in a gift shop, and the shop owner asked me several times if I'd like to try his wine. Each time I declined. He asked me to walk with him on the other side of his shop. So I did. The shop owner proceeded to show me a hand carved statue out of olive wood the Prophet Joseph Smith and his wife Emma Smith. The shop owner said, "I knew right away before taking you across my shop that you were a Mormon." The shop owner said, "you have a light or something that you carry with you." To me that is the light of Christ. I am Mormon because the Holy Ghost has testified to me that this is the true church. I am grateful my parents became Mormon. They helped set the pathway for me and my family to be together forever with our loving Heavenly Father, and our Savior Jesus Christ. I am and always will be a Mormon!!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith each and every day by serving and helping others within my own community. Through service, love, and compassion, my faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has grown. I have made our Savior Jesus Christ the center of my life. My husband and I have made Jesus Christ the center of our marriage. Jesus Christ set the example for all of us to serve, love, and have compassion towards one another.
