Hi I'm Connie

I'm a mother of 4 daughters, ages 11-19 I LOVE the gospel of Jesus Christ and am so blessed to be a memeber of it!

About Me

I am a mother of 4 daughters. My husband is in the Air Force. We have both been raised in the church and are raising our family in the church. I am a stay at home mom, I volunteer for my children's schools, I LOVE to cook and read! I enjoy sewing, crafts, eating out and getting together with girlfriends when I have time!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I know it is right and true. I love the messages of love, forgivness, tolerance, peace, service, etc. I love the Book of Mormon and how much I have learned and grown from reading it over and over through my life. I love that because of the teachings of the gospel I have been able to raise my family in the ways of my Savior. I love the the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Church I am a member of are one and the same-this is His church-I am His daughter. I love knowing who I am and that the God who created heaven and earth also created me and loves me and gives me opportunities to learn and grow so I may not only become like Him, but have the blessings of peace and joy only available through Him.

How I live my faith

I volunteer as a crossing guard for my daughter's school near our home. She was hit in that crosswalk 2 years ago and the school district would not pay for a crossing guard there. So I took it upon myself to make sure someone else doesn't get a horrible phone call one afternoon. It isn't very fun in the heat or cold or wind/rain, and there are motorists who aren't very kind. But there are many more who make it so worthwhile! Strangers who wave, tell me thank you and the kids are awesome! I told my school that I would do this, so I do it. It has been more rewarding than I could have imagined! I have 3 teenagers (from 15-19) and they are all girls, so we have many things going on at our house. The best is that my girls like inviting their friends over so every week someone extra is at our house for dinner, for a sleepover, for an activity, etc. Regardless of who is at our home, family prayer, family dinner, family scripture study continues on. What we didn't realize is the impact these things would have on the extra company. Youth love coming to our home and want to be part of what we do. I am so glad that my girls are making correct choices, being good examples and that we can share what we do and what we know with others. We truly love the youth!

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Connie
Simple-It's true! Each & every one of us is born with the Light of Christ (some call this our conscience) When we hear the truth and allow our hearts to be open to it, we recognize it for what it is-our own Father blessed us with the ability and we desire to follow Him & return to Him. This is the one and only way to do that! Show more Show less
