Hi I'm Kathleen

I'm a jogging, book reading, chocolate eating, always cleaning mother of 3 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a jogging, book reading, chocolate eating, always cleaning mother of 3 and I'm a Mormon. I was born in Southern California and was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by my step-father when I was 11 years old. I moved to Arizona for my senior year of high school. I attended university and graduated with a degree in Psychology. I married my sweet husband soon after and have had three beautiful children since. I love to spend time with my family camping, traveling, learning, experiencing, laughing, and just enjoying one another. I also love to read, jog, try every new recipe that crosses my path, laugh way too loud, and talk, talk, talk.

Why I am a Mormon

I was very young when I first learned of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I had NEVER even heard of a 'Mormon' before! As soon as I began my visits with the missionaries and received my first Book of Mormon I was excited! Learning about the gospel brought immediate peace and joy to my life. I was baptized when I was 11 years old and I remember being ecstatic on my big day. It felt so wonderful to know that after my baptism I was going to be clean and free from all my previous mistakes! I knew I was doing what the Lord would have me do and my heart was full to overflowing. Since that special day so many years ago I have relied on those feelings of peace, joy and comfort that come from following the teachings of the gospel. I have been grateful on countless occasions for the guidance I receive through the gospel and for the knowledge that I am a daughter of God who loves me greatly. That thought alone can help me accomplish anything!

How I live my faith

I am able to help teach the gospel to cute little children each Sunday. I learn just as much from them as they learn from me! I am also able to influence sweet Cub Scout aged boys each week as I lead them through the Scouting program. I try to be a good neighbor to all those around me. I look for opportunities to welcome new families, to help my neighbors, and to show my love to them. On many occasions I have helped to organize fun events and community gatherings for all to enjoy. My community is important to me. I am active in my children's school through volunteering and fund raising. I attend local events and am grateful for the diversity of our community.
