Hi I'm Mosey

I'm a son and a brother. I like to play video games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live with my parents and 3 brothers. My parents are the best in the world (in my opinion). My brothers and I love to play. Some days we will have Nerf gun wars and other days we'll play Halo. I love my family so much. I graduated from high school in 2010. In school I was involved in an extra-curricular activity called Stage Crew. We were in charge of setting up the stage for the various groups that performed, i.e. choir, band, theatre, etc. I also happen to be a gun enthusiast. I enjoy going out with my family or friends and doing some target shooting. Another thing I enjoy is playing video games. Some of my favorites are Halo and Call of Duty. Although I enjoy these things, I try to avoid letting my hobbies get in the way of spending time with my family. My dad is my hero. I look up to him every day, to me he is the epitome of compassion. Another hobby I have is reading. I love to read. I can spend all day laying around reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. However, this does not mean that I just blindly followed my parents and assume that they made the right choice. Although this may have been true until I was about the age of nine. When I was nine years old I decided that I wanted to know for myself that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. So one night, I knelt by my bed and said a prayer. Now the way my room was set up, no one could've entered without me knowing it. I stayed kneeling by my bed waiting hoping for a confirmation. Impatient as a nine year old is, I finally gave up and went to sleep. Several days later, school was about to start. In my family, we have a tradition. Before school starts, my dad will give each of us a priesthood blessing to bless us to understand our schooling and remember that which we will be taught. During my blessing he hesitated for a minute, then he continued. He told me "... and the answer to your questions is yes." Then he finished. I was stunned. After the blessing, he asked me what that meant to me for he had no idea what my questions were. I explained it to him. This experience has shown me several things. One, that the Lord always answers prayers. It may not be when or how you want or expect it, but he WILL answer. Two, the priesthood has been restored to the earth. Three, the Book of Mormon is true. And four, Jospeh Smith was a true prophet called of God. I know for myself.

How I live my faith

Attending church every week has never been a huge challenge for me. Asof now I have been called as a ward missionary. This basically means that on one night a week (in my case Thursday) I go out and help teach with the missionaries. At church I also sometimes teach one of the Sunday School classes for adults. Outside church I live my standards proudly. I'm not afraid to ask people to not swear or to please not talk in an inappropriate manner. I'm proud to be a Mormon and I will live my life showing it.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Mosey
Joseph Smith organized the church under the direction of the Lord Jesus Christ whose church this is. We respect Joseph Smith, but do not worship him. The fact is that we worship Jesus Christ and God the Eternal Father. Show more Show less
