Hi I'm Brandon

I am an Engineer and test satellites before they are launched into space. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a husband and father. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing games, watching movies and going camping, hiking, or just finding new places to explore. I like to play tennis and love going to theme parks and riding roller coasters.I love airplanes and flying and have always wanted to be a pilot. I am a Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals and Diamondbacks fan. I also enjoy watching college sports. I have a Bachelor degree in Electronics and an MBA and strive to learn more each day about the industry I work in. I like a variety of music especially country, George Strait is one of my favorites. I like to read and am particularly interested in adventure and survival, current events, politics and U.S. history

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Utah and many in my family are Mormons. I have happy memories from my childhood related to attending the Mormon church and participating in activities. I was taught very early that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that life has a purpose. I will always remember deciding to be baptized and the warm feeling I felt when I received the Holy Ghost. As a child and teenager, I found strength and hope in reading from the scriptures and praying often to my Heavenly Father. I decided to serve a mission to share the message of hope and happiness with others. I was called to serve in the Brazil, Sao Paulo East mission. I developed a love for the people of Brazil and enjoyed teaching them about the message of hope the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings. My mission was a life changing event and I am grateful for the privilege I had to serve. My mission was a catalyst for many decisions in my life. The best decision of my life was to marry my sweetheart for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. The mission and marriage were great events in my life that have brought me happiness but the reason I continue to be a mormon is because of the many times I have have felt the Holy Spirit testify to my heart the church and Gospel of Jesus Christ are true. I know if I keep the Lord's commandments the Spirit will be with me in my life. I know Jesus Christ is my redeemer, I am grateful for his atoning sacrifice. I know the Book of Mormon and Bible contain the word of God. I know Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God. I know the plan of salvation is real and am grateful to know that when my loved ones die I will see them again. I want to be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I am grateful for the church because it gives me opportunities to serve others. I am a home teacher and I get to visit a few families in my ward and find out how they are doing and share a spiritual message with them Some examples of how I serve in the church are preparing and teaching lessons, giving talks, cleaning the church building or just listening and trying to help someone in need. I am currently serving as the Ward Executive Secretary. My responsibilities include preparing agendas for church meetings, keeping track of things, and scheduling appointments with ward members to meet with the Bishop. I am thankful for the privilege I have to serve. I also strive to pray and study the scriptures to find inspiration on how to live my faith.
