Hi I'm Kim

I'm a mother to 6 children. I've lived in Texas, California, Utah and now Nebraska. I love to read and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother...I love being a mother. I have 4 sons and 2 daughters. I am a wife too. My husband and I have been married for almost 20 years. We were married in the Los Angeles Temple in California. I love to read, when I get time! I work the graveyard shift at our local hospital. I am a patient registrar in the ER. I love the people I work with but wish I could stay home with my kids. My oldest, a son, just started college in Utah and my youngest, a daughter, just started kindergarten. I was born in Texas but grew up in California. When my husband and I married we moved to Utah. We lived in northern Utah for 14 years and Southern Utah for 2 years and then we moved to Nebraska almost 4 years ago. I'm homesick for Utah but my kids love Nebraska. I'm sure my biggest hobby is watching my kids perform. My oldest 3 are very involved in Drama, Choir and Speech in high school. I'm very proud of them! I am a very social person and love being with friends. my family has 2 dogs...a beagle and a basset hound. I love them very much and they are very much a part of my family. If I had the opportunity to go back to school I think I'd either want to be a teacher or a nurse.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 12 my mom worked in Utah for 2 years. I had never heard of a "mormon" before that. A friend invited me to a youth activity and shortly after that the missionaries started teaching me about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My family was not religious at all so I didn't really know anything about Jesus Christ. I knew I felt good going to the LDS Church and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. My testimony has grown and grown since then. I know with all of my heart that I am where I need to be. I know God loves me and is there for me. I know we have a prophet here on earth today to help and to guide us on our journey here. I'm thankful for a Savior who suffered and died for me. I'm so grateful for my blessings.

How I live my faith

My family goes to church every Sunday. We go to partake of the Sacrament and to learn more about Jesus Christ. In our church all the members can have what we call callings or "jobs" in our ward (church congregation). I teach in our womens' organization once a month. I really love it. I try my hardest to be a good person and to treat others with kindness.
