Hi I'm Ladd.

I'm a father, husband, grad student, and aspiring health care leader. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons--they are the light of my life. I also enjoy music, playing guitar, watching sports, and reading. I am currently pursuing a second master's degree in order to further my career and provide for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the LDS faith, but it was up to me to actively participate in going to church or social activities. When I was around 14, something happened in my heart as I studied the Book of Mormon. I no longer resented my leaders or the "restrictions" of living the gospel. I suddenly WANTED to live that way and be an example to my friends, many of whom were not living wholesome lives. That change within me continued to progress as I studied the scriptures, prayed, attended meetings, and lived the principles. It brought me peace in my heart, and I knew that the messages were divine principles of God being communicated to my Spirit. I could FEEL the truth, even if I couldn't explain it.

How I live my faith

I work hard to follow the example of Jesus Christ in my daily life, to serve and love others, to give them the benefit of the doubt, and to try to brighten their day through service, even if it's just a smile. I visit church members in their home with another member of the church, and we share a message to build their faith. I teach the principles to my children in our home, on the playground, and wherever an opportunity presents itself.
