Hi I'm Holly

I am a wife, a mother, an emotional healer. I own a family run laser tag company.

About Me

I'd never met a Mormon until I was in high school. They seemed to have a lot of fun. Pretty soon I found myself attending church meetings and activities. I was baptized just before leaving home for college. By the time I received my BA I was married with two beautiful children. I have been blessed with 5 boys and 3 girls and life is very busy - but I can't think of anything else I'd rather be than a mom! I love how this church supports me in my role as a wife and mother. I am a business owner. Many of my children enjoy playing laser tag, so we researched it out and we now offer laser tag as a mobile event. We play outdoors and indoors, during the day and at night. It has been awesome to share ideas and work hard together. I know my children are learning valuable life lessons. I am also a certified emotional release facilitator, which simply means I help people connect to their emotions and learn why they feel the ways they do. When we can connect with our emotions we can move forward in our life and with our dreams and goals.

Why I am a Mormon

The first time I walked in to the Mormon church I knew I was home. It was a very peaceful feeling and one I knew I wanted to have more of in my life. I made a decision that very first time that I was going to learn about this Mormon faith and put myself in a position to know if it was true. I read the Book of Mormon and I prayed about it. I talked with the missionaries and attended church and other activities. I went to the nearby Temple to walk around it and see why the people love it so much. As I did these things I would usually always feel at peace. Sometimes I had inner turmoil as I was trying to figure things out. I had been taught some things in my youth that weren't necessarily true. As I continued my prayers and allowed faith to work, I felt close to my Savior. I was changing, allowing habits to transform and I recognized I was becoming a better person. I knew the things I had been searching for had been found and I was baptized.

How I live my faith

I enjoy making food, and I like to share. I would rather make too much food than not have enough. I like to take meals to people who are sick, have been too busy to cook, or just because. I like to make desserts and try new recipes. Sharing food is a great way for me to get to know my neighbors and friends. I have taught children of all ages, from 18mos to 17 yrs. I have taught the younger children songs each week on Sunday mornings. I had to learn how to lead music to do this - it has been my greatest joy. I have worked with the adult women, and have provided opportunities for them to learn new talents and better their roles as women and/or as mothers. I have helped the younger boys who enter scouting until they are ready to be Boy Scouts. My oldest son recently earned his Eagle Award. My next son is planning his project. I truly enjoy being involved in the lives of my family and those whom we are in contact with through church, school, sports events, and recreation. I have learned that there are so many people who struggle with the same things I do, or my family does. I like feeling connected to the people I live around.
