Hi I'm Kim

I'm an Arizona native that's lived other places, but always comes back! I'm a wife, mother and a grandmother....and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Wife, mother of 6, step-mom to 2 and grandmother of 4! I chose to be a mother over a number of opportunities that would have taken me in other directions. There could have been easier and more profitable things to do, but none that would have compared to my family! I have been blessed to have been able to be a stay at home mom the majority of time. Did have a few years alone with my kids, and it was hard in some ways, but so wonderful in other ways, I loved my time with my kids!! Love to bake, decorate, create. I love to give (my husband has resigned himself to the fact that as long as I'm around we'll never be rich!) , love to serve -at home, church, community(Hospice), love to sing - but totally average (had some music producers that wanted to make me a country singer..if that isn't a laugh!) love to travel, have new experiences, try new places, meet new people and try to make their day a little better and I love shoes!

Why I am a Mormon

Born and raised in the church by wonderful parents...I was.taught the principles and exercised agency...but as we all do, I had to get a testimony of my own. I have always known the church and it's teachings to be true. Never doubted it. I have always been grateful for prayer as it has sustained me always knowing that I have a Father in Heaven and a Savior Jesus Christ that loves me and hears and understands all things.... Then when the tragedy of losing my oldest son at 19 hit, my soul was racked to the very depths, my faith was tested as I wondered how my God could have forsaken me....I was not sure I could endure such pain and loss.....I am grateful for my other children because of them I knew I couldn't give up, but at the same time I found that I could do nothing but turn to my Heavenly Father for the courage, the strength, the understanding that it took to endure the sorrow, pain and grief. Footsteps in the Sand comes to my mind often and I picture the Lord carrying me during the times that seem so impossible. I know families can be forever and that I will see my son again and that our family can be together forever. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the church on the earth that gives us the tools to make it possible! We are given endless opportunities to serve others, there are answers to questions, men called of God that lead us, temples of God that we can go to for peace as well as to serve those that have left before us, taught the principles that can guide us as we govern ourselves, the blessings are endless... And that is why I'm a Mormon!!

How I live my faith

I do my best to serve in my church callings in whatever capacity I am asked. There is always someone that can need a kind word, a smile, brownies, a meal, a note of thanks, a hug or whatever small kindness can be done to help someone along their way...I try to be "in tune" with that little small voice so that I can find and act upon those opportunities...at home, at church, to my neighbors, in my community...

What do Mormons believe about family?

Kim
We believe that our family unit can be together for all eternity. This is the "cement" for me...knowing that we have a Heavenly Father that loves us so much that He has given us the opportunity to stay a family through obedience and ordinances. Show more Show less
