Hi I'm Liz Porter

I grew up in Arizona. I am the President of E3 Imagine. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Liz. I am a mom of 5 and grandmother of 2. I am the President of E3 Imagine and in 2011 traveled to 19 countries around the world taking pictures of families and children to be used in children's books and educational products. My life's goal has been to position myself with my husband at a place where we can use our talents to serve others. Meeting, photographing and learning about people, their lives, culture's, and circumstances around the world has enlarged my soul. I love people, I love children and I love serving. I have been married to my best friend Steve for 30 years. We have had a great time working, raising our kids, and looking for opportunities to change our lives. Steve has worked from home for over 20 years, which has given us the fun opportunity to really figure out life together. We love trying new things, and having opportunities to learn all the fun things that await us! Our current fun adventure will give us even more chances to share our values and understanding of the importance of families with people throughout the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life. But like any Mormon or non-Mormon at some time in life have to decide if this gospel is true, and if it is the right thing for me. That can be a little bit tricky being raised in the church because some of us really do have a strong testimony of it from the time we are little. But I still believe that we all come to a point where we have to turn to the Lord and truly believe. Or we can decide it doesn't matter that much, and move on. I have always loved what the gospel has brought into my life. But as a young mother, I began to truly understand what it meant to be a Mormon and to earnestly hope for and gain a real testimony that Christ lives and that He loves me, personally, and that my life is rich and full by following and keeping his commandments. I have sought for the assurances promised in the scriptures, I have prayed for opportunities to increase my life, and can now testify that the scriptures are literal and true. The Lord means what He says. He does change us, and He does bless us far beyond what we can ever imagine. If we let the gospel and the principles enrich our lives, we will find the greatest happiness available to all of His children. I know He lives!

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everything I do. In my home, by creating an atmosphere of love and peace and a place for the spirit of the Lord to reside. I live my faith serving in the Lord's church. Through the many opportunities the church gives me, I have increased my understanding of the gospel, and have had the opportunity to learn to love so many. I live my faith as I seek to make a difference in the world. After 9/11 happened we started a company called Comfort the Kids, where we made and collected over 1200 homemade children's quilts that we took and delivered to the families that lost a parent on that sad day. It was an incredible experience as we stood on the family platform over ground zero and witnessed the great love that Heavenly Father has for each of His children, no matter their race or religion, as we stood back and watched them grieve, but also feel the power and strength that was on that sacred ground. I live my faith by loving and serving His children all over the world, and it brings me the greatest joy to share that faith with others. I live my faith because I love the Lord and I know He loves me.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Liz Porter
One of the greatest qualities that Mormon's possess is their anxiousness to help everyone. No matter religion, color, nationality, or circumstances, Mormon's are always there to help lift and assist and help in whatever ways are possible. Mormon's understand the blessings that we have and love sharing those blessings with others, whether that be through monetary needs, service or just being a friend. Show more Show less
