Hi I'm Karen

I'm a third culture kid. I'm an educator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I lived in six different foreign countries and moved nine times during my childhood. My travels instilled in me a love of learning and have led me to become a teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

Moving every one to three years can be hard. This left me searching for something that I could hold on to a midst constant change. I found that consistency with my unchanging Heavenly Father and Savior. Wherever I lived, I knew I could talk with my Father in Heaven and feel of his pure love. Just as his love knows no geographical bounds, neither does his church. No matter where I am in the world, his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is the same. I have found lasting happiness as I have drawn closer to him through my service for others and his church.

How I live my faith

I pray and read my scriptures privately as well as with my husband each day. I strive to repent daily. I work with the teenage girls in our congregation, ages 12-17. I am currently in the musical, This is Kirtland, that is put on by our church, depicting the life and sacrifices of the early members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Ohio area. If you're in the area, come see it: www.thisiskirtland.org
