Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a stay at home mom of 3 beautiful kids. I love my husband & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 3rd of six girls in my family and am lucky enough to have all but one living close by. My husband and I have known each other since we were 7 & 8 years old but didn't really get reacquainted until I was in college and was dating one of his roommates! He was persistent though and after trying to get me to date him for 3 years I gave in and then about a year later we were married! I have a degree in Elementary Education and taught for 3 years before getting married and then deciding to stay at home to be a mom! I now have 3 beautiful children and have the opportunity to teach preschool out of my home so I can still be with my kids and use my teaching experience as well. I enjoy, reading, sewing, crafting, canning, playing with photoshop and somehow became known as the neighborhood Martha Stewart! (The must not be paying very close attention!) Best of all though, I enjoy spending time with friends and family!

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been a Mormon! I was born into a very active family and have a strong pioneer heritage. I feel very blessed to have been raise as a member of the church. I have always had wonderful friends who have been great examples and influences on me. I want my children to have those same experiences. With the world becoming an increasingly dangerous place, I want my family armed with the best chance possible of making it through this life in one piece and I what better way to do that then to have righteous army on our side. We have our family members, our ward members, our church leaders and most importantly our Savior, Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father in our corner, you can't get any better than that! I know I will always have the love and support I need regardless of what I am facing and I know that through the gospel of Jesus Christ not only can I make it through anything but I will be stronger because of it and will in turn have the same opportunity to help someone else in need.

How I live my faith

In the LDS Church, learning to serve others is part of the gospel plan. Each member has an opportunity to give service to others. By serving others we believe we are also serving God. I have served in many different ways in my youth as well as my adult life as a member. I have had the opportunity to serve in class presidencies, as a teacher to the little children as well as the music leader to the children, I have been a teacher to the 16-18 year old girls, and am currently serving in the presidency of the women's organization, specifically over the monthly activities that are planned for the women to help them increase faith and personal righteousness, strengthen home and family, and seek out and help those in need. While each of these opportunities has given me the chance to serve and bless the lives of others I really feel as though I have learned and grown and I have been richly blessed in ways I would never thought possible and am always grateful for each opportunity that comes my way.
