Hi I'm Sam!

I'm 23 and from California. I've served an LDS mission in Denmark. I'm a BYU Marriott School of Business student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Sam. I'm currently 23 years-old and returned from my mission 2 years ago. I'm currently studying at Brigham Young University in Utah. I was recently accepted to BYU's Marriott School of Business' Marketing program. I swam and played Water Polo in High School. I love technology, games, music, and movies! My idea of a good time is being my friends and family, eating tasty food, playing games, watching movies, and being active. But more importantly, I am a family guy - I love my family so much! I also have a strong belief in God as my Heavenly Father and in His son, Jesus Christ as my Savior and Redeemer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God has restored His true church upon the Earth again through His prophet, Jospeh Smith. I know that our God has a plan for us, that there is a purpose to this life, and that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is ''the light and the life''. I know with a surety that Jesus Christ died and atoned for our sins and is our Savior, resurrected and glorified, as testified in the Bible and The Book of Mormon. I know that The Book of Mormon is God's word. I have a strong testimony about eternal families and know that through God's restored Priesthood, families can be sealed together in His holy temples.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to follow what is read in John 14:15, 21 - keeping God's commandments because I love Him. Obviously I am FAR from perfect and have made many, many mistakes, but I try my best through trial and error to learn how to align my will with God's. I believe in repentance and that it should be something we do each day with joy. Another testament of how I live my faith is the fact that I served as a Mormon missionary, trying to bring others unto Christ. Some people may be all confused with all of the ''rules'' that Mormons have, but being Mormon is something that I have just always been and have learned to love throughout my life. I don't see it as ''limitations'', but rather as the gateway to spiritual independance and living our eternal potential.
