Hi I'm Channi

I grew up in Las Vegas, I'm a Hair Stylist, a wife and mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Channi, I was born in UT, raised in Las Vegas, lived in South Louisiana for almost 8 years and now I live in Utah again and I love my life! I am the mom of two of the best boys anyone could ask for, the wife of an amazing man, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, a sister, a sister-in-law, an aunt, a friend, but most important I am a Daughter of God! My life revolves around my FAITH and my FAMILY, one is no more important than the other!

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was raised in the church, so I had a foundation from my parents, but I took some time away from IT to 'find myself'. During that time, my family lived in Las Vegas, so I had opportunities to experience many things, however, I stayed pretty calm in comparison to others, but I felt like I was exploring my options,. I always felt like something was missing, as I look back at those years, they are a little blurry and I don't remember a lot and I think it's because I was so far away from my foundation. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has grounded my life and saved it in many ways. I chose to serve a mission at the age of 23, I was called to the Arkansas, Little Rock Mission, and it changed my life forever! I learned more about the Gospel and myself in those 18 months than I had my entire life. I LOVE the Gospel and it's teachings, I love the plan for eternal families, and the personal relationship I feel with my Savior and my Heavenly Father. I KNOW it is the true church and that everything I have learned so far is enough to get me and my family through this life and is preparing us for eternity with each other and our Heavenly Father and His son, our Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try my hardest to live my religion everyday, and teach my boys who are 8 and 4 how to do the same. We try to attend church every Sunday and to participate ad much as possible. Right now I serve our congregation by teaching the nursery age children (age 18 months-3 years) and it has been the joy that I never thought it would be. My husband calls them my 'little angles' cause they fill a tiny void in my heart from our inability to have any more children. I feel like every position I have been asked to serve in does the same thing....I have served teaching the Youth, girls ages 12-18 and the women of the church and in each assignment I feel more and more fulfilled, and I feel a love for the people I serve I only thought was possible within my own family.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

The Proclamation to the World is the best way to sum up why family is so important. MY family is MY foundation in this life, and I am so grateful for the plan for our family to be eternal, so we can always be together. Heavenly Father love us too much not to allow us to be together forever with those who meant the most to in this life. Show more Show less
