Hi I'm Brent

I'm a Mormon who grew up in Idaho. I'm now a chemist. My wife and I have seven grandchildren. We enjoy being grandparents to them.

About Me

My job keeps me busy, but in my spare time I enjoy writing stories and poetry. Some it is humorous in nature, but some of it is more serious, and parallels things I believe as a Mormon. I once wrote an article about faith and adversity that appeared in then Ensign (Aug 2010). It was an enjoyable experience writing and sharing my testimony on this subject.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that as we move ourselves closer to the Lord, we are better able to feel and recognize His influence in our lives. In my life, I have learned that The Lord is always ready and willing to bless our lives. In fact, we often receive blessings that we do not recognize at first. Later, as the years go by, we look back and realize what great blessings we then received, and how wonderfully they impacted our lives.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I enjoy teaching a group of adult men about the gospel of Jesus Christ. The best classes are the ones where they share their experiences and testimonies during the lessons. On those days, the Lord rewards my efforts by allowing me to be taught as well.
