Hi I'm Bryan

I am an engineer. I like playing tennis, snowboarding, hiking, and playing games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member my whole life. I am a young adult attending a local Young Single Adult ward. I like playing tennis, snowboarding/skiing, hiking, shooting guns, boating, attending parties, going on dates, playing board games with friends, listening to music, and riding my motorcycle.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with my parents and all my grandparents as active members of the church. There were good examples placed before me in my family, in the outside world, and in the church. I have always strived to live the commandments and directions as taught in the church. I can remember as young as the age of 5, how my parents began the practice of reading the Book of Mormon as a family, which tradition we continued with each year finishing it. As I left home and attended college after high school, I continued this practice on my own, where I furthered my testimony and decided to serve a mission for the Lord. For 2 years I was a missionary in Ogden Utah. I really enjoyed my experience there teaching the people the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and of repentance and baptism. The greatest 2 blessings of serving as a full-time missionary are: dedicating 2-3 hours per day in studying scriptures to greatly improve my knowledge, testimony, and love of God; also, being able to put this knowledge into practice as I testified and shared my love of God, thus bringing others (fellow children of God) to the truth with the Spirit of God resting upon them. Through the many experiences I have had in my life of feeling the fruits of the spirit (see Galatians 5:22-23), especially God sending his peace and love upon my soul, these are the things that have made me who am I today, have brought me the blessings of my life, and the peaceful assurance and knowledge of an all-powerful and all-loving God, and of his eternal plan giving me perspective on the purpose on my life on earth, and foreknowledge of the eternal happiness that is available to me.

How I live my faith

In my local ward (congregation), I am the membership clerk. This means I make sure that we keep a record of each member of the ward, which keeps track of their addresses, phone numbers, and emails so each person can maintain in contact. I love doing service, helping people move, cleaning the church building, participating in activities to improve the community, and helping those in need in many ways. I know doing this helps me grow closer to my Savior Jesus Christ and the example he set for me.
