Hi I'm Anthony

I'm a Mormon. I was raised in Tucson, Arizona. Both of my parents are converts to the Church.

About Me

I am a father of five children, and am happily married to my sweetheart of 17 years. I was raised in Tucson Arizona. Both of my parents are converts to the Church. My mother joined when she was in high school and my father joined while I was on my mission. I served my mission in the Copenhagen Denmark Mission. In college, I studied architecture however earned a business management degree, then studied in an MBA program focusing on International Business Management. I had the opportunity to study finance, economics and the monetary and fiscal policy pertaining to the European Union and the Euro currency at a university in Koblenz, Germany. I am now completing my masters degree in construction management and writing my thesis on the cost of sustainable commercial construction. I am a senior project manager leading a design build team on charter schools. I love college football. I love high school football. All four of our boys are actively involved in either football or basketball. As a family we love going to their games and cheering them on. I love classic cars and hot rods of the 50's 60's and 70's. My all time favorite car is the 1977 - 1980 Pontiac Trans Am. I hope to own one in the near future. I love reading U.S. history and church history. I get to speak at conferences about leadership, project management, risk management, sustainability and facility management. I am a technology geek. I love my MacBook Pro and iPad. The capabilities of these two tools is AMAZING.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has allowed me to grow in my understanding of who God, our Heavenly Father is, who His Son, Jesus Christ is and how I can follow the teachings of His Church to strengthen my family and me in this life to return and live with them again with my family after this life. The teachings of the church; the doctrine, the principles, help provide comfort to me in these troubling times. I feel a sweet peace and comfort from the Holy Ghost as I attend my meetings and enjoy fellowship with my friends at church. I have learned over the years that there is nothing that comforts or teaches me more correctly than that of the impressions, revelations and comfort of the Holy Ghost. The teachings and programs of the Church have provided a tremendous support to our children and our family as a whole. There is nothing in our community that can compare to it.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in our community and the members of our congregation. Our boys are actively involved in the local scouting program and we get to participate in monthly camp-outs and high adventure activities. Simultaneously, our boys are learning good honest Christian values leadership and community service thru scouting projects. We have a friendly church congregation and I enjoy visiting with the families in our community. My wife is currently planning our fall festival for our congregation and neighborhood friends. We are really looking forward to it. We had a large turn out last year and the kids had a great time collecting candy. Recently, we had a member of our congregation pass away. He was a single man. Everyone in the neighborhood knew him. He was a true friend to everyone he came in contact with. His funeral service was recently held and it was no surprise to see so many friends from our congregation there to supporting him and celebrate his life. I have been so impressed with the members of our community and how they volunteer and serve each other and those in need. There have been countless acts of kindness performed. I have the opportunity to share the message of our faith with friends and co workers on a daily basis. One of my coworkers will be baptized this month along with her family. They have experienced a joy and happiness they have not known until hearing the gospel message. It has been wonderful to see the change in their family and the happiness they now have.
