Hi I'm Rick

I am a husband and father of 5 children, a Cubmaster, a Mechanical Engineer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father and have five beautiful children. I grew up in the magestic Rocky Mountains of Montana and now live in a desert in Arizona, something I never imagined. I grew up in a small town, worked hard, graduated from college, and am working as and engineer in aerospace, my dream job. I am a soccer coach, football coach, Cubmaster, and am an Eagle Scout. I play all kinds of sports and try to do my best.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have done my best to live my life according to the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and know for myself that it is true. I was born into a home where my parents were (and still are) Mormons, and was baptized when I was 8 years old. Later on I received the Priesthood, served a 2-year mission in Tokyo, Japan, and married my wife in the Salt Lake City, Utah temple. As I live the gospel each day, my faith grows deeper. The gospel taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon church) the most complete. The gospel taught here is true and it transends the word "Mormon" completely because it is the true gospel of Jesus Christ, restored by Him through Joseph Smith. When I read the Book of Mormon, I know in my heart and mind that it is true, and it confirms/supports the truthfulness of the Bible, and visa versa. If this church was not the true church of Jesus Christ, it would have disappeared long ago...but instead it continues to grow, and grow. It is very comforting to know deep in your heart that something is true, and that is why I am a "Mormon".

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ taught his deciples that if they lived the gospel he taught that they would come to know, or gain a testimony of its truthfulness, its importance, and be saved by living it. I try to live my faith by living by the teachings in the Bible and Book of Mormon, and by living prophets and apostles. It is exciting to be part of Christ's church that he is establishing in a quiet but powerful way throughout the world. By their fruits ye shall know them, and I strive to live so that my fruits are good examples of Jesus Christ so that others will see them and want to follow Christ in turn. I take my family to church, I stay involved and serve others, I have served a mission in Tokyo, Japan, and I read the scriptures and pray with my family almost every day. It makes all the difference in my life and the life of our family.
