Hi I'm Tarryn

I'm a mother and wife. I love anything that has to do with the water. I'm a substitute teacher. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother to two adorable kids (ages 1 & 2) and a wife to the most handsome man around! I graduated in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and use what I've learned to teach my children at home. I love being a stay-at-home mom, but I also love teaching, so I substitute when I can. I teach swim lessons every summer. I love anything that involves water-- going to the lake, wakeboarding, swimming... etc. I love DIY crafts. I love photography. I love spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

Once I found out for myself that the church was true, there was no question about why I'm a Mormon. Being a Mormon is part of everything I do, every choice I make, everything I say and everything I am. I'm not perfect at it. Sometimes I make the wrong choices or say the wrong things, but that's what is so great about the Gospel. I know I can be forgiven thorough Christ's Atonement and try again. I don't think that making hard choices and avoiding temptation would be easy without the truth of the Gospel. I love the values and beliefs that I have as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that help me each day. I grew up as a member of this church, so those values and beliefs were taught to me as a young child. As I grew up, it was easy for me to make righteous choices, because I already knew what I believed. I didn't have to decide not to drink when someone asked me. I already knew that it wasn't for me. I love knowing that I am a Daughter of God. I have a loving Father in Heaven that wants me to be happy and he's there to help me along the way. I love knowing that I'm never 'alone' and that I can always pray to Him for guidance. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving. I love serving in the church. I have the blessing of being able to teach the young primary children in our ward. I love their perspective on life and the church and learn so much from them each week. We have about 150 children in our ward, so it can sometimes be a daunting responsibility to ensure that they all feel loved and that their needs are being met. But I wouldn't trade it for anything. These are God's children. It's an honor to serve them and to serve Him.
