Hi I'm Sarele

I am a social worker, advocate for children and families and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah in a family of seven. I have five siblings and love spending quality time with my family. I received a Bachelor's in Family Consumer Science. I then went back to college to receive a License in Substance Abuse Counseling. I am currently working towards Master's in Social Work with a Certificate in Trauma and Bereavement. I have always loved working with others, getting to know them, learning about each individuals different cultures/religions and building lasting relationships.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into the church with a great heritage. I learned at a young age to love the LDS church and being Mormon. It is important though for each individual to really seek out for themselves why they are part of a particular religion. At a young age I realized that I couldn't rely anymore on the testimonies of my parents and needed to know for myself what I truly believed. I have learned to truly love this gospel, nothing has ever brought me so much joy, love, peace and understanding. This gospel means everything to me, it has helped me know who I am, that I have a father in heaven who truly loves me, I have an elder brother who loves me enough to know that the only way I would be able to return to my father in heaven was to lay down his own life for me. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and who wants me to return to him. In this life we are faced with trials, through these trials and hardships though is how we develop God-like attributes and become closer to him. I know that Christ is my elder brother, that he laid down his own life for me so that I may return one day to live with him and my father in heaven. I know that the true Church of Jesus Christ was restored on this earth and is lead today by prophets, seers and revelators. I love knowing that I will have a forever family after this life. I love this gospel and am truly grateful to be a member.

How I live my faith

Faith requires action, it isn't just believing in something, but actually doing. James 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. I live my faith through the small and simple things that I do daily to grow closer to my father in heaven. It is through the daily scripture study, prayer, fulfilling church callings, following promptings of the spirit, doing service for others, and attending my church meetings regularly that I truly show my faith. Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies. Mother Teresa
