Hi I'm Allison

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently living with my parents and attending beauty school. I aspire to be a cosmetologist, that means doing hair, nails, skin, the whole 9 yards. I'm not worried about becoming famous, simply having a reliable job that I love. I want to have a big family in the future, and I'd love to simply be a stay-at-home mom, but if my family needs the extra income the beauty industry would offer me a flexible job to work with my family life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my whole life, but I continue to go to church because it makes me happy. I believe fully in God and his son, Jesus Christ. I believe in the Bible and also in the Book of Mormon being two testiments of Jesus Christ, our savior and redeemer. Living this gospel has been the happiness in my life, I have made mistakes in my life, I'm not perfect, but I got through it with the Lord's help and am the happiest I've ever been in my life because of this gospel. I believe this church is true and will follow this gospel and the prophets for the rest of eternity.

How I live my faith

I strive to help others all that I can. My life is pretty busy with both school and work, but as a teenager I had plenty of opportunities to do charity work for others through the church. We would clean the church grounds, make baked goods for other members of the ward, put together baskets of food or essentials for others in need. One year we made hats and blankets for new born babies in the hospital to parents who needed to have something to give to their baby to take them home in. I long for charity work and search for it every day, even a simple way to brighten someone's day can brighten my own so much. As women in the church we have assignments for "visiting teaching" where every woman is assigned another woman companion, and as a pair you go visit a few other women in the ward simply to visit with each other and see how everything's going in their lives but most importantly to share little gospel messages with each other and offer any help that may be needed. So that is how I am able to serve now, once a month I will go out with my companion to visit teach some women in our ward and offer any service I can provide to her that she may need.
