Hi I'm Dave

My great great grandparents helped settle the White Mountains. I've lived here for 16 years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father of 3 children. My biggest passion is to go on a date with my kids every month, giving them each one on one time with me, creating a better bonding experience. And of course, I always make time for my wife too. I own my own business and enjoy making people laugh, which helps me not to stress and think about the terrible things that happens in life.

Why I am a Mormon

The church has helped me be the person I am today. By following it's teachings and attending church each week, makes me want to be a better person. I feel safe knowing we have a living prophet on the earth today who guides and instructs us of what we need to do to prepare ourselves and our families for tough times ahead. We have been instructed for years about getting our food storage ready in case of emergencies. Not just for our use but possibly, to help our neighbors and people overseas. I have a testimony of this gospel that grows every time I have a chance to tell somebody about the church. I feel my Heavenly Fathers love for me each time I share this information.

How I live my faith

I enjoy visiting with other members of our faith. Each month, I am assigned to 3 families and my job is to make sure all their needs are met. If they are having any kind of problems or concerns, I report them to our Bishop right away and he decides the best way of helping that family with their need. I am also the emergency specialist in my area and I enjoy making sure that we have leaders in the area, ready to help out in case of a major emergency such as a long term power outage or wildfire. I can communicate with each zone leader, find out if there are any families (members and nonmembers) that have an emergency, and I report them to my leaders. This is a wonderful program since people are watching out for me as well.
