Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a mom, I'm a lawyer, and I'm a first-generation Mormon.

About Me

I'm originally from Florida. I went to college in New Jersey and then I moved to Arizona for law school. I joined the church in April 2011, after meeting my first mormon ever just 6 months before. It was the best decision of my life. I am so thankful for each of my friends that helped me find the gospel. I met my husband about a year after I joined the church. We were married in 2014 and now have a handsome baby boy. Other than playing with them, I absolutely love traveling. I studied Mandarin Chinese in college and had the opportunity to travel around China for a few months. When I am not melting in the AZ heat, I hike, camp, rock climb, box, run, and play ultimate frisbee... pretty much anything that involves being outside makes me happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Until I began attending law school, I had never met anyone that was LDS. It started as just a curiosity; I wanted to know why I never got to see my friends on Sundays and why some of our other friends weren't so understanding about our LDS friends' beliefs. As I started asking questions and learning more about the church, I could feel the spirit getting stronger prompting me to study the scriptures more and keep asking questions. Within a few months Heavenly Father made it very clear to me that I had a decision to make and I knew the right answer. It didn't take me long to know that the church was true and that if I was baptized it would be a blessing. Of course, He was right. The strength and love I feel as a member of the church is unparalleled. It is amazing what you can find when you aren't looking.

How I live my faith

I attend the family ward in my area. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work with the young women in our ward. It has given me an opportunity to learn and grow, so that I can reach my goal of becoming more Christ-like, each day. They are a wonderful example to me.
