Hi I'm Weston

I put dead people into their final resting places for job and I am a Mormon.

About Me

In high school I was on our high school's swim team and water polo team. Through out high school I enjoyed hanging out with my friends and just having having fun on the weekends. One of my favorite things to do is to go snowmobiling with my family. I also enjoy camping and doing things outside. I guess one of my hobbies is to make stuff with my hands whether it be out of wood or metal I don't really care as long as I can see what I have made with my own two hands. I recently returned from the Philippines where I served a two year mission and I enjoyed every minute of it. I learned a lot about myself and I have also learned how blessed I am to have been able to grow up in America. One thing I discovered in the Philippines is that you don't need a bunch of electronics and gadgets to be happy all you need is family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I actually grew up in the Mormon Church and so being Mormon has just been a part of my life. I never really knew for my self that the Mormons was the right church but I am now serving my mission in the Philippines and I have seen how true this church really is. So I am really thankful that my parents became members and now me and my whole family can receive the blessings of the gospel.

How I live my faith

Before I went to the Philippines I served in leaderships over youth age groups by helping and planning events for them. Then few months right before I started my mission I was a teacher of adults that were between the ages of 18 to 50, the average age was probably either late 20's or early 30's. That was kind of an interesting experience for the most part I was teaching people that were older than me, but I learned a lot from that experience. I know that even though that was a challenging experience it will continue to help me through out my life.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Weston
The Bible is such an important Book and I know that it really is Holy Scripture and the word of God. We learn so many things from the Bible and we have a pretty good account of Jesus Christ's Ministry here on earth because of it. We also learn many precious truths about the creation of the world and how God calls prophets and how those prophets lead us and guide us. We would be lost with out the Bible but at the same time not all the answers are in the Bible. Because god loves us he calls prophets, as we see in the Bible, he not only calls them in the areas of the earth where the Bible takes place but also in other parts of the world such as America. That is where the Book of Mormon comes from ancient prophets that lived in Ancient America from the time of 600 B.C. until 400 A.D. Show more Show less
