Hi I'm Mark E. Christensen

I am a people connector, a relationship builder, a creative thinker and most of all I am a Dad to 3 fabulous sons! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love learning about people and winning them over! Discovering personal stories and how to connect people with resources in my network. Traveling to other countries and experiencing new cultures around the globe are my passion! I became a single Dad of 3 boys ages 2, 5, and 8. My boys have always been active in sports, education, learning and serving God. I am their biggest fan! I attended Brigham Young University and later received my Bachelors degree is Business from University of Phoenix. My career evolved from business operations role to human resources management. I also received a Masters degree in Human Resources. Highlights in my career have definitely been creating projects and wins with best selling authors, speakers, and noted influencers and innovators of our time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church from generations that originated in Italy and England on my Mothers side of the family and from Scandanavia on my Fathers side. I feel privileged that both sides of the family have not only been active in the church through the generations, but have contributed talents in both art and music. During my high school years I wanted to have my own true conversion experience and on depend on my ancestry for a testimony of Christ. I pursued this personal conversion with faith and determination. Part of my conversion experience is grounded in the scriptures and most specifically the Book of Mormon as a 2nd witness and testament of Christ. I know for myself that Christ is real, He lives, He loves me personally, He is the Savior of the World and makes it possible for me to be forgiven of my mistakes throughout my earth life and take part in God's plan for my progression and salvation. I studied also about the Prophet Joseph Smith and have a testimony of the divine role he played in leading the way for the restoration of the priesthood which I know to be the power for men to act in Gods name. I know Christ was came to teach us the way, and then atoned and was crucified for each man and woman who have ever lived.

How I live my faith

Being an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints requires regular study, prayer, attending various weekly meetings, accepting voluntary assignments and serving God daily. Following Christ requires us to not only keep the basic commandments, but to reach and stretch and find Joy in serving others!

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Mark E. Christensen
I love this likening faith to a seed. Nourishing the seed, I believe is following and being obedient to the commandments and living a Christlike life. This means constantly being aware of ways to serve others, to seek to understand and to develop an unconditional love for all mankind. Christ served as an example of outward love and service to others at all times and obedience to God's laws. Eternal progression is part of this mortal life. As we pass to the next life we can look forward to more beauty, more peace, more love, and more satisfaction than anything we have experienced in this life. Our actions and focus will help us progress and prepare as we do our best and the gaps will be covered as part of Christ being our Savior and helping us be whole. Each one of us is different and unique and each one of us will know the Master Jesus Christ and only He will be our judge and provide the bridge to our eternal rewards. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Mark E. Christensen
“We are Christians in a very real sense and that is coming to be more and more widely recognized. Once upon a time people everywhere said we are not Christians. They have come to recognize that we are, and that we have a very vital and dynamic religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. We, of course, accept Jesus Christ as our Leader, our King, our Savior...the dominant figure in the history of the world, the only perfect Man who ever walked the earth, the living Son of the living God. He is our Savior and our Redeemer through whose atoning sacrifice has come the opportunity of eternal life. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints pray and worship in the name of Jesus Christ. He is the center of our faith and the head of our Church. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ and witnesses of His divinity, His life, and His Atonement.” Show more Show less
