Hi I'm Thia

I grew up in southeast Idaho, USA. I love writing fiction and creative problem solving. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from BYU, Idaho with a degree in computer programming some time ago. For awhile, I worked as computer support for a research facility. Though I enjoyed my work and the people I worked with, I felt the desire to serve a mission and was called to the Tokyo North Mission. Upon my return, I married in the Idaho Falls temple. Now, I am the mother of four grown children and currently have two beautiful grandchildren. I love to create--with words, wood, cloth and paint (to name only a few). In between projects, I find the time to create and maintain landscapings.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents taught my brothers and sisters and me the gospel from the time we were very young. I attended church and primary regularly. My testimony began by watching my parents serve and love the gospel. As I grew older I experienced the blessings the gospel brings for myself. I attended Seminary and Institute. Through scripture study and prayer my own testimony continues to steadily grow. I have had powerful answers to prayers and I have received much needed help and strength from on high. I love the Lord with all my heart and strive to do the things he would have me do. He has always been there for me; I am determined to always be there for Him. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. He suffered in Gethsemane and on Golgotha where He died for my sins so I could return to live with Him. Because He raised from the dead on the third day, I also will be resurrected. I know this gospel is His chosen way to build His Kingdom on this Earth and to bless the children of men. He Lives! He hears and answers prayers. He cares for each and every soul and He will always be there for those who seek Him. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I still pray and read scriptures daily; I attend church and do my best to magnify my callings. I teach young children about Jesus. They have such a love for Him and I know He has infinite love for them. I try to be of service to my fellow man whenever and wherever I can. I try to be kind and cheerful. I always try to act the way Jesus acted. He was always kind, understanding and forgiving of men's faults. I always try to find the best in others and try to lift them.
