Hi I'm Brenda.

I grew up in Tennessee, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I had a great imagination growing up! I played outside with my siblings and with our friends. I climbed trees, made teepees, played in the mud holes, etc. It was great! Of course, I had to learn lifes little lessons along the way. Now I am married, and I am a mother of some of the greatet kids. I went to college and got a degree in Public Health prior to this; however, I stay home for now with our kids. I love my degree and hope to use it professionally later on but I wouldn't miss this time with our kids for the world. As I have heard from a lot of our older friends, "children will only be this age once. So enjoy it"! I am realizing the truth of this statement. You must enjoy the moment even when a huge mess is being made! My husband is going into pharmacy school, and we have a few more years ahead of us. Though we may not have a lot of now, we most certainly have our love for each other and our family. We have the support of wonderful friends and in the community we live in.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I love the truth. As a young teenager, I was unsettled about whether this Church was really the true gospel. I was taught to read the scriptures to find answers. So, I started to read. I also began pray about on whether this Church was really the true Church. At first, I was casual about it. Then, over time, my desire began to change. I really wanted to know the truth. I received my answer one evening while I was reading in the scriptures. I felt an overwhelming feeling that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. I felt a warmth inside me that I will never forget.

How I live my faith

I have served a mission, worked with the youth, and worked in other callings of the Church. I am currently working as a ward missionary. It is fun becuase it gets me out into the community. I love it! I know this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. This is not a man's church but of our Saviors. I cannot deny it because I found out for myself. I am grateful for my family, and to be a member of this Church.
