Hi I'm William

I live in the Pacific Northwest. I work as an appraiser for the county. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Between us, my wife and I have eight children and eleven grandchildren. We like to travel to see them when we can. As a youth, I enjoyed participating in the Boy Scouts of America and achieved my Eagle Scout rank in high school. Although I had polio as a child, my wife and I like to square dance and take walks through our beautiful local parks. I used to enjoy snow skiing and swimming--back when I had the time. Currently I am spending my spare time renovating our house. I didn't mean to, but one thing led to another, and you know how that goes.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Methodist Church. I have learned that the Methodists have some of the same basic beliefs that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints also has. I continue to believe in and follow Christ. One thing that brought me to the LDS Church was the doctrine of the family. We believe that families can be together forever. That was important to me, and still is.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed many years of volunteer work in the church. I value my monthly visits with families that I have been assigned to watch over. I also have volunteered as a financial clerk, with the youth as a teacher and Boy Scout Leader, as a Sunday School teacher, Family History consultant, and as an emergency preparation representative. Currently I work with the part-time and full-time missionaries in my area. I try to live my faith outside of church. I donate blood on a regular basis and give service when I can.
