Hi I'm Thomas

Born in Houston. Grew up in Nashville. Married in Mesa. Finished a bachelor's degree in Phoenix. And I am a happy Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of 5 wonderful little ones. I have a beautiful wife. I have a great job that challenges me and keeps me busy. I play basketball for exercise. I play board games for fun. I like people. I like to socialize.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon. My parents are both faithful members of our church. My grandparents, my great grandparents... and a couple great beyond that on both sides we all members of this church. But I am not one to just follow the crowd. Growing up in Tennessee I ran into a lot of people that challenged my faith. I debated many people what was true and what was found in the bible. It wasn't easy being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In fact, I was a religious minority. I heard all kinds of rumors about what Mormons believed. At some point I was challenged to not just believe what my parents told me to believe. So I began to study other faiths. I read some of their publications. I attended a few neighboring christian churches. I read the scriptures. I finally turned to God. I knelt in prayer. I asked Him. I am a Mormon because God spoke to me. Not audibly. His Spirit spoke to me. I felt my prayer answered. I felt my heart changed. I am a member of this church because I feel God's power and influence when attending, when participating, and when serving. Paul says it best in 1 Corinthians 2, "God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit..."

How I live my faith

Service. I serve others. As a Boy Scout leader I served the youth. I teach Sunday school lessons to the teenagers. Outside of church service, I try to be honest in all my dealings. I try to assist others in business. And most simply, I try to share smiles. I am an optimist. I believe everyone likes to smile. I do my best to help those around me to enjoy life with a laugh and a smile.
